1. Who we are
Smart Power AI is an AI-powered energy assistant that helps electricity customers understand their usage, lower their bills and prepare for outages. Contact us through the Contact / Support page for any privacy question.
2. Information we process
- Bill uploads. PDF or image files you choose to upload.
- Extracted bill values. Usage in kWh, billing period, rates, fuel charges, taxes, current charges and past-due balance.
- Home and appliance details you enter, such as household size, appliances and backup equipment.
- Account information if you choose to create an account: email address and display name.
- Feedback you submit, including rating, message and optional contact email.
3. How bill uploads are handled
Your uploaded file is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our AI provider for the sole purpose of extracting energy figures. The file itself is not stored on our servers; it is processed in memory and discarded. It is not used to train AI models. Account numbers are masked throughout the application.
4. Where your data is stored
In guest mode, your profile and results stay in your browser's local storage on your device only. If you create an account, your saved profile is stored in our secure cloud database and is readable only by you, protected by row-level security rules.
5. How we use information
To produce your energy analysis, savings plan, backup power estimates and preparedness recommendations; to operate and improve the service; and to respond to support requests.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers required to run the product (cloud hosting, database and AI processing), and where required by law.
7. Your choices and rights
You can use Smart Power AI without an account, edit or clear your data at any time, and request deletion of your account and stored data through the Delete My Data page.
8. Security
We use encrypted transport, authenticated access and database row-level security. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so please avoid uploading documents you do not need analysed.
9. Children
Smart Power AI is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date at the top of this page.
